Biography

Dr. Caruso has been an RN for 13+ years in a variety of adult Med-Surg and Progressive Care units at different hospital settings, including small community hospitals, large teaching hospitals, and Level One Trauma Centers across the country. She has worked in six different states: Indiana, Arizona, Washington, Wyoming, California, and Florida.

She has worked as a bedside RN, charge RN, preceptor, clinical instructor, and Nurse Educator. She has been a Progressive Care Certified Nurse since 2012. Her DNP project was focused on evaluating the effectiveness of a patient safety and fall prevention escape room as a form for staff education in the hospital setting and its effect on patient fall rates. She’s passionate about mentoring students and preparing future nurses to be successful in their RN careers.
