Bonnie J. Kruszka, DNP, MSN, FNP-C, ENP-C is the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program Director, as well as, an Associate Professor in the Leighton School of Nursing and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Marian University. Dr. Kruszka received a BA in Chemistry from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Dr. Kruszka graduated with honors from CWRU and she was the recipient of the Cushing-Robb Award & Scholarship for excellence in academic achievement and potential for graduate education. Dr. Kruszka also studied qualitative research methods at the University of Oxford in Oxford, UK.
Dr. Kruszka is a certified FNP and Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP); she has been designated as an emergency nurse practitioner content expert by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and serves as a portfolio reviewer of emergency nurse practitioner board certification applicants.
She maintains her clinical practice one day a week in emergent and urgent care. Her primary research interests are access to healthcare and healthcare disparities; evidence-based practice in healthcare, and interprofessional education. Dr. Kruszka volunteers within her local and international community by providing healthcare to under- and uninsured individuals.
Dr. Kruszka's personal interests are mountain biking, running and travel. She lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband, two children and Siberian Huskies.
