Marian University to Host National Cycling Championships at Major Taylor Velodrome

Collegiate cycling’s biggest event will be held at the Major Taylor Velodrome on Indianapolis’ west side September 25-28, and the public will have an opportunity to attend for free.

Marian University will defend its national championship during USA Cycling’s Collegiate Track National Championships against 150 student-cyclists representing 30 colleges and universities from around the country. Marian University is considered the nation’s premiere cycling program, and has amassed 26 national championships over the years including the past eight track national championships in a row. The competition will feature both team and individual awards.

Racing is held over four days, and all sessions – morning and evening – are free to the public. Local food trucks will serve their specialties, and Sun King will provide the beer. For more information, visit

The Major Taylor Velodrome is located at the intersection of West 38
th Street and Cold Spring Road. It is part of the Indy Cycloplex, a city park that is managed by Marian University.
