Football Season Opener on August 31 will Feature National Championship Trophy Presentation, Fireworks

Join us as our 2012 national champion Marian University Knights begin their quest for a consecutive national championship on Saturday, August 31 at St. Vincent Health Field on the Marian University campus.

Plan your day:
2 p.m. Lots open for tailgating; Colts in Motion Trailer will be on site and bounce houses for the kids will open.

2-4 p.m. Tours of the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences. 

4:30 p.m. The gates at St. Vincent Health Field open. The first 500 students in the gate receive a free t-shirt to wear at the game; the first 1,000 people through the gate will receive a rally towel commemorating the 2012 national championship. 

5 p.m. Greet the team as they make the walk from the P.E. Center to St. Vincent Health Field. 

6 p.m. Be in your seat for a pre-game ceremony honoring last year’s national champions. 

Halftime will include a special recognition of men's golf and women's softball conference champions. 

Plan to celebrate victory with post-game fireworks!

In honor of Youth Football Day, kids wearing their youth football jerseys will be admitted free.

A tape-delayed television broadcast of the game will be on Home Town Sports Network (Comcast channel 247, Bright House channel 420, over-the-air channel 6.2) at 9 p.m.
