The Byrum School of Business offers a specialization in professional selling that combines the latest in sales theory with hands-on practice to ensure you gain these necessary skills. Our program is distinguished by the following characteristics.

  • Our state of the art sales lab with sophistical digital video equipment for role plays, competitions, and interviews

What will you study?

You will complete coursework that focuses on building core selling skills while learning the sales process and navigating professional selling career opportunities in various industries. You will build skills in business development, account management, sales presentations, negotiation, digital selling technology, ethical selling principles, and more.

Marian University’s 12-credit professional selling specialization will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need for professional success by completing courses such as:

  • MKT 240: Principles of Marketing
  • MKT342: Selling and Sales Management
  • MKT374: Sales Technology and Analytics
  • MKT442: Advanced Professional Selling
  • MKT444: Negotiation

You’ll work closely with your academic advisor to choose courses that are a good fit with your personal and professional goals.

Our location in Indianapolis provides many opportunities for sales internships and frequent engagement with some of the top technology, life sciences, and logistics companies in the country.
