We are excited to offer the Scholars Writing Group (SWG) Initiative at Marian University, which is supported through a collaboration among the Marian University Academic Commons, the Center for Teaching & Learning, and the Research & Scholarship Administration.
The SWG Initiative seeks to provide support for scholarly writing through facilitating multiple group formats that address one or more of the following needs: 1) resources and tips for keeping on track and achieving goals, 2) complimentary access to professional, on-demand editing services, 3) a consistent time and comfortable location (with snacks!) to focus on writing, 4) a group of 3-5 other scholars with whom to build community, and/or 5) a group of colleagues holding one another accountable for meeting goals. SWGs will generally meet weekly for 30, 60, or 90 minutes based on the desires/needs of the group members.
