Early Access Partnership Program

The Early Access Partnership Program (formerly known as Special Programs) with Marian University’s Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine gives high-achieving pre-medicine undergraduates an early access pathway toward osteopathic medical school. Eligible students benefit from an early admission timeline, priority review, and guaranteed interviews—helping you plan confidently for your future in medicine.

What the Program Offers Students 

This program provides qualified students, at approved partner institutions, with: 

  • Guaranteed interview with MU-WCOM when you apply by the early deadline (see below)
  • Priority review in the admissions process 
  • Early admission opportunities if the defined criteria are met 

Eligibility & Requirements 

To participate in the Early Access Partnership Program, students must meet the following: 

Academic Criteria 

  • Enrolled in a designated pre-medicine or health sciences pathway at an approved partner institution (see partner list below) 
  • Cumulative GPA ≥ 3.70 
  • Science GPA ≥ 3.60 
  • Completion of required pre-medicine coursework by the end of junior year 
  • Acceptance is contingent upon maintaining grades and completing pre-medicine requirements.

MCAT Requirements 

  • Minimum overall MCAT score: 500 
  • Minimum Biology score: 124 

Professional Values 

  • Demonstrated alignment with MU-WCOM’s mission and professional expectations 

Process

(See table below) 
  • Submit an application to the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) to be received at MU-WCOM by July 15 before senior year. 
  • Submit remaining application materials to MU-WCOM by August 15 before senior year, including all letters of recommendation.

Admissions Decision

Seat and Tuition Deposit Deadline

Within Two Weeks of Acceptance

*Applicants should allow at least two to four weeks for AACOMAS to verify transcripts and other application materials. 

^ This includes supplemental application, application fee, MCAT score, letters of recommendation, and letter of intent.
