Apply using Marian University's free online application.
Step Two
Demonstrate English Language Proficiency
Students whose first language is not English, or who attended high school in a country where English is not an official or widely spoken language, are required to submit an official English language proficiency test result.

English Proficiency Waivers
Marian University may waive the English language proficiency requirement if a student meets at least one of the following conditions:
- Completed at least three years of upper secondary school in one of the qualifying countries listed below.
- Completed at least one year of high school at a U.S. high school.
- Earned a minimum of 24 credits from an accredited U.S. college or university.

Anguilla, Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Barbuda, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Botswana, Canada, Dominica, Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Grand Cayman Islands, Grenada, Guyana, Irish Republic, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Montserrat, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sierra Leone, Singapore, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Tanzania, Tobago, Trinidad, Turks and Caicos Islands, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Additional Requirement
Nursing BSN Students
Before starting clinical nursing courses, students must demonstrate English language proficiency if English is not their first language or if they are not citizens of a country where English is an official language.
Students may meet this requirement by providing one of the following:
- Proof of a conferred bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
- Proof of at least four years of formal secondary or post-secondary education in the United States.
Step Three
Submit Your Academic Documents
We require documentation of your secondary or high school studies and grades. This may include transcripts and external examination results.
Scanned Documents
Scanned copies of academic documents are accepted for application purposes.
External Examination Results
For external examinations such as IGCSE, WAEC, or IB, submit results issued by the examining board.
English Translations
If your transcripts are not in English, include a word-for-word English translation.
Credential Evaluation
Marian University will do its best to evaluate your academic records. However, you may be required to submit an official credential evaluation.
Step Four
Complete the Next Steps After Admission
Admitted students must submit the required items by June 15 for fall enrollment or November 1 for spring enrollment.
