Knight Quest

Required event for ALL incoming undergraduate students

Student success is important at Marian University. That's why we want to ensure you have a smooth start as you begin spring classes. 

Knight Quest is a required campus event for incoming students that gives you and your family an opportunity to address last-minute details before classes resume on Monday, January 8, 2018.

    Sunday, January 7, 2018
    11 a.m. to 3 p.m
*If you are a member of an athletic team or other program that requires early arrival, you will be notified by your coach or program director about an alternate date for your Knight Quest session.


Knight Quest is held in Alumni Hall at Marian University.


Attendance is mandatory. You must participate and complete the Knight Quest session that best describes you on January 4 or 7. You may not attend classes or move into a residence hall until all required documents are complete. If you fail to attend Knight Quest, you may be administratively withdrawn from your classes. Classes begin Monday, January 8, 2018.

 Knight Quest helps you and your family be prepared for the start of classes.

  • If you HAVE completed these action items before your assigned Knight Quest date, you can go directly to your residence hall for move-in day (residential students) or simply arrive on campus for your first day of classes (commuter students). 
  • If you HAVE NOT completed these items, you must attend Knight Quest on the assigned date.

Payment of enrollment deposit

First-time freshmen and transfer students

A $100 deposit is required and will be applied to your first semester fees. Pay your deposit online at https://marian.afford.com.

Receipt of all required transcripts Provide required transcripts.

First-time freshmen and transfer students

We must have official copies of your final high school transcripts and/or transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. Your high school and/or college transcripts should be sent directly to the Office of Admission. Use this Transcript Request Form to request your transcripts from the schools you've attended.

Students who want to live on campus

Please review Live on Campus information. This page explains how to create an account and complete our online housing application. You must submit a $125 housing deposit before your application and room assignment is processed. Pay your deposit online at https://marian.afford.com.

Students who want to live off campus 

If you are a new or transfer student who meets our off-campus residency policy and plans to commute for classes, please create an account and complete our off-campus application. If you are under the age of 21, you must download and complete the Parent Verification Form from the application. The verification form must be notarized by an Indiana Notary Public OR you and your parent/guardian can present the form together in person at the Office of Housing and Residence Life. We will then notify you whether your request is approved or denied. 

Financial aid and student loansComplete financial aid and student loan documentation.

Marian University is unable to disburse financial aid funds to your student account until all documents are complete. If you wish to borrow federal student loans, you must complete the loan request on the award letter or accept your loan eligibility through our CAMS student portal. In addition, you must sign a Master Promissory Note and complete entrance counseling at www.studentloans.gov.

Student account balance paymentPay the balance on your student account.

After you have registered for classes, you will receive a bill from Marian University's business office. The bill includes the balance due for your semester tuition and fees and (if you plan to live on campus) any room and board charges. We must have confirmation of your payment arrangements by the due date that appears on your bill or If confirmation of your payment arrangement is not received by the due date listed on your bill you will be subject to late fees.  

  • Marian University offers a convenient monthly payment option which allows all or part of your expenses to be spread over a period of time.
  • The plan is administered by Tuition Management Systems, Inc. and is available to all students. 

During Knight Quest, you can also:

  • Visit the bookstore. 
  • Obtain a campus parking permit.
  • Get your student ID card.
  • Get tech support and assistance from our IT team.
