Your gift can go where you want it to go! The Marian Fund allows the gifts to be directed where the need is greatest. You can direct your donation in a variety of ways. Perhaps you received an Endowed Scholarship and wish to give back to that fund.   Do you have a favorite academic department? Is there a special project on campus that you wish to contribute to? Would you like to support your athletic team? If you’d like more information about how to designate your gift, email giving@marian.edu or call the Office of Institutional Advancement to connect with a gift officer.

Yes! The contributions that Marian University receives annually are spent each fiscal year. The Marian Fund supports areas of greatest need. Your gift will make an impact and by making an unrestricted contribution, you let the University direct how to best put your gifts to use.

When you make a gift every year, no matter the size or designation, you demonstrate your continued dedication to Marian University.

Your gift also affects college rankings. Alumni participation is a key component to the college rankings and will add value to your degree by attracting the best students, faculty and staff as well as attracting additional philanthropic gifts through corporate partnerships and grants. 

A multi-year pledge can help you keep track of your giving without receiving annual solicitations. Recurring gifts can provide consistent support to Marian by setting up pledge payments on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Recurring gifts can be set at any amount. Just think, a $5 donation each month is equal to a cup of coffee, but can add up to $60 a year!

Many employers offer a matching gift program. Your gift can often be matched dollar for dollar – which essentially doubles your contribution! Check with your human resources department for more information.

All gifts to Marian University are tax deductible.

Indiana residents can earn a 50 percent state tax credit on a gift to Marian University. Gifts up to $200 for single filers and $400 for joint filers are eligible for the tax credit. Use the Indiana College Credit tax form (CC40) to take advantage of this tax credit.
