The Women of Marian Summer Luncheon is the society’s signature event
that brings together hundreds of women from the Marian and Indianapolis
communities to celebrate and learn from each other. This year’s Luncheon
will highlight a dynamic panel of influential community leaders whose vision
and leadership are shaping the future of women in sports across Indiana.
About the Society
The Women of Marian Society honors Marian University’s foundresses, the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, Indiana, by supporting Marian students and providing networking opportunities for women of all generations who are aligned with Marian’s mission. Members of this society collectively fund scholarships that support students during the entirety of their educational journey with Marian.

Emma Halter

Professional Volleyball Player, Indy Ignite
Emma Halter is a libero for the Indy Ignite, beginning her professional career with the team in the 2026 season. A native of Indianapolis, she played collegiately at the University of Texas, where she helped lead the Longhorns to the 2022 & 2023 National Championship. Halter was named to the 2023 NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team and earned 2025 All-SEC Second Team honors. She stands 5’5”.
Allison Melangton
Senior Vice President of Penske
Entertainment
Allison Melangton is Senior Vice President of Penske Entertainment, overseeing marketing, communications, video content production and corporate partnerships for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. She most notably led planning and execution of the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2016, which was named Sports Business Journal’s Sports Event of the Year and marked the first sold-out race since 1911.
Previously, she spent 20 years with Indiana Sports Corp., including serving as president and as CEO of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee. A five-time Emmy Award winner for her work with NBC Sports, she has worked nine Olympic Games. Allison has received numerous honors for her leadership and community impact and currently serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards.
Katie Wise-Butler
Director of Track & Cross Country, Marian
University
Katie Wise-Butler is the Director of Track & Cross Country at Marian University. In her first year in the role, she led the men’s program to its first NAIA National Championship and was named NAIA National Coach of the Year. A former Division I All-American sprinter at Indiana State University and Team USA competitor, Katie brings championship experience to Marian and has coached numerous
conference champions, national qualifiers, and All-Americans.

Kelly Greene
Forecaster, Indianapolis 500
Kelly Greene is the owner of Hansan Solutions and a former meteorologist with WTHR. She currently serves as the official forecaster for the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, bringing deep expertise in weather analysis to one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.
