Trevor Leach, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Trevor Leach is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Marian University. His teaching interests include calculus, advanced geometry, abstract algebra, discrete mathematics, and other courses across the mathematics curriculum. He also works with students on capstone projects and is involved in curriculum development and student advising within the department.
His research interests include commutative algebra and combinatorics, with interests in monomial ideals and related combinatorial structures. He is also interested in mathematics education, course design, and assessment practices that emphasize student learning and mastery.
At Marian, Dr. Leach teaches courses including Calculus I, Calculus II, Abstract Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, and Mathematics Capstone, among others. He enjoys working with students outside the classroom through advising and departmental activities and hopes to mentor students interested in pursuing undergraduate research in the future.
