Biography
Dr. Sara Davis, PT, DPT, is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Marian University. She serves as course coordinator for Integrated Clinical Practice I and II and teaches pediatric lifespan content throughout the program. She also contributes to the Integrated Clinical Practice, Professional Identity Formation, System-Based Practice, and Foundational Science course tracks. Her teaching draws on extensive pediatric clinical experience and emphasizes the integration of clinical skills, professional development, and experiential learning.
Prior to joining Marian University, Dr. Davis spent 15 years practicing as a pediatric physical therapist across a variety of settings, including early intervention, school-based practice, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient care. Dr. Davis also brings more than 12 years of experience teaching in an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Throughout her career, she has created experiential learning opportunities that connect physical therapy education with meaningful community engagement.

Research Interests: Pediatric mobility, participation, and the experiences and outcomes of children using adapted ride-on cars to increase opportunities for independent mobility and social engagement within their communities. Her current scholarly agenda is expanding to include competency-based curriculum and program assessment as well as student outcomes in physical therapist education.
