Bio  

Matt Hollowell, Ph.D., teaches undergraduate and graduate education courses in the Fred S. Klipsch Educators College. He is the principal investigator on a $1.1 million grant from the National Science Foundation that focuses on recruiting and retaining secondary STEM teachers.  

His primary academic focus is on developing highly effective STEM teachers at the elementary and secondary grade levels. An interesting fact about Dr. Hollowell, is that his undergraduate degree is in civil engineering, and he eventually changed careers to become an educator.

Our primary task as educators is to be a witness for our students not just in terms of the content we teach but in the way we live our lives.
