Bio 

Marie Goez, DNP,  joined Marian University as a visiting professor in January 2021. She was promoted to an assistant professor, part-time pro-rata faculty position in February 2022 and gladly accepted. Dr. Goez taught the senior clinical courses, the junior clinical courses, and chaired numerous DNP projects. She currently teaches the Anesthesia Seminar Courses (Professional Issues, Business, Chemical Dependency, and Wellness) to help prepare SRNAs for their future roles as CRNAs. 
 
Dr. Goez has been a CRNA for over 11 years and has practiced as an independent contractor (1099), a W-2 employee, and in several different practice models. She specializes in vascular and electrophysiology (EP) anesthesia and takes monthly trauma calls at a large Level 1 academic institution. She also sits on her anesthesia department's Case Review Board Committee, where she review s100s of cases yearly for their morbidity and mortality conference. She is a mentor for SRNAs and trains both junior and senior SRNAs as they are learning in the clinical setting. She received CRNA of the Quarter in her department and has also been nominated as a finalist for CRNA of the Quarter this past month by other CRNAs.

Dr. Goez is working on a partnership with Maverick Anesthesia and writing a grant for increasing regional experience and improving the curriculum with SRNAs' clinical exposure to regional anesthesia and point-of-care ultrasound.

Personal Info 

Dr. Goez enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Brian, and daughter, Giuliana.  She enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking and relaxing at the beach.  

Dr. Goez played Division 1 Softball (3rd Base) and received a full athletic scholarship in college.
