Teaching Philosophy:
Lori Vallotton Roe believes significant learning occurs in a mutually respectful environment. Students are encouraged to remain open-minded, engage with diverse perspectives, and show respect for one another even when they disagree.

To address multiple learning preferences, Vallotton Roe incorporates varied teaching methods including PowerPoint presentations, video and audio clips, and kinesthetic activities. She believes that learning can and should be fun. Students often experience classroom activities as games, but each one is carefully designed to reinforce key communication concepts.

Student engagement is at the heart of her teaching. By fostering curiosity, encouraging active participation, and creating a positive classroom environment, Vallotton Roe helps students build the confidence, skills, and critical thinking abilities they need for academic and professional success.
