Academic and Scholarly Overview:
- Opening: Dr. Lindsey Kojich, PT, DPT, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Marian University. She serves as the lead instructor for Gross Anatomy and teaches across the Professional Identity Formation and Integrative Clinical Practice tracks. Her teaching emphasizes experiential education through community-engaged learning, providing opportunities for students to integrate professional identity formation with service, advocacy, and reciprocal community partnerships.
- Career Highlights: Prior to joining Marian University, Dr. Kojich served as a Senior Program Manager for Experiential Education, where she supported university-wide assessment of experiential education and faculty and staff professional development initiatives. She also has more than 10 years of teaching experience in higher education, including five years teaching at the undergraduate level and five years teaching in entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy education. A board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, she has over a decade of experience spanning clinical practice, higher education, clinical education, and experiential learning. While her primary area of clinical practice has been outpatient orthopedics, she has also worked in home health and acute care settings, bringing a broad perspective on physical therapist practice and education.
- Scholarly Agenda: Dr. Kojich's scholarly agenda centers on health professions education with a focus on learning by concordance, uncertainty tolerance, clinical reasoning, and competency-based assessment. Her scholarship has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications and more than 15 national and international scholarly presentations. Notably, she co-led the development of a Script Concordance Test for first-year DPT students to assess clinical reasoning in physical therapist education. Recently, the assessment has been utilized by researchers at MIT and Harvard to benchmark clinical reasoning performance in large language models. She currently collaborates with colleagues across multiple institutions on projects examining DPT student outcomes across curricular, clinical, and behavioral variables.
