Bio 

Karlie Kaser is the director of education, assistant professor of education and faculty athletic representative at Marian University’s Plymouth location. In her current role, she leads educator preparation programs designed to equip future teachers with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for success in today’s classrooms. Professor Kaser is dedicated to developing teacher candidates who are reflective practitioners and instructional leaders capable of meeting the needs of students across Indiana and beyond. 
 
Before joining Marian University, Professor Kaser spent 14 years as a classroom teacher, where she cultivated a passion for high-quality instruction, meaningful assessment, and the integration of research-based practices to improve student learning outcomes. Her experience in K–12 education continues to inform her work in higher education, bridging theory and practice for preservice teachers. 
 
Professor Kasers' professional interests include teacher preparation, curriculum design, instructional coaching, and the development of strong school–university partnerships. She is committed to supporting future educators through mentorship, community engagement, and authentic learning experiences that prepare them to lead with compassion and confidence in their own classrooms.

Professor Kaser was selected as an Armstrong Teacher Educator Teacher in Residence at Indiana University Bloomington in 2019 and the John Glenn School Corporation Teacher of the Year in 2017.
