Biography
Joseph Gamache joined the faculty at Marian in 2019 after completing a PhD at Boston University. His research focuses on issues at the intersection of ethics and epistemology, as well as on the philosophical schools of British Idealism, Personalism, and Existentialism. His first book, Gabriel Marcel and F. H. Bradley: Enemies of Abstraction, was released by Bloomsbury in 2025. He is currently working on two book projects, including an historical introduction to the philosophy of Personalism. In addition to teaching the university’s required course in philosophy (Human Nature and Person), he also teaches Epistemology, Logic, Bioethics, Existentialism, Twentieth-Century Personalism, and Senior Seminar.
