Edward S. Potkanowicz, Ph.D.

Biography: Edward S. Potkanowicz, Ph.D., is a tenured professor of exercise science. Before joining Marian University in 2022, he held faculty positions at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio; Ohio University in Athens, Ohio; and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois. At Marian University, he teaches courses in the exercise science program ranging from introductory to upper-level courses, including ESS 120: Introduction to Exercise Science and ESS 380: Exercise Physiology. 

Teaching Philosophy: Potkanowicz draws on years of industry and research experience to create a classroom environment that is both relevant and engaging.

Personal Information: An avid runner and cyclist, Potkanowicz and his wife have completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons.
