Bio: 

Professor Charlie Pride, Jr. is an assistant professor of accounting at Marian University. Professor Pride teaches twelve credit hours a semester of accounting courses to students in the School of Business. In addition to teaching, he advises dozens of accounting majors and is constantly focused on keeping up to date with accounting and auditing standards and teaching excellence. He enjoys working on projects that benefit the School of Business and its students and is currently serving on Marian University's Admissions Committee. 
 
Prior to teaching, Professor Pride spent the first 13 years of his professional career at the Indiana State Board of Accounts where he worked his way from an entry-level field examiner up to information technology director. After that, Professor Pride spent three years as the controller for the third-largest municipal utility in the State of Indiana at the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility. After that, he held financial leadership positions at two nonprofit organizations until he became a full-time instructor in accounting at Ivy Tech in August 2022. Two years later, Professor Pride joined the Marian University faculty as an assistant professor in accounting.
