Bio
Ashley Sims is an assistant professor of marketing in the School of Business at Marian University, teaching an array of classes that span both marketing and entrepreneurship. As a faculty member, Sims focuses much of her time creating a collaborative and creative classroom environment as well as fostering relationships with students. Outside of teaching, she serves on the Academic Policies Committee and is a club advisor for the Entrepreneurship Club and Knightly Rhythms, a dance club.
After her undergraduate years, Sims took an entrepreneurial approach to her career, starting a performing arts academy, which she still operates in a small capacity outside of school obligations. Sims is also a licensed real estate agent on the Batarseh Team with F. C. Tucker, and she will begin teaching for the Tucker School of Real Estate in 2026 during the summer. Sim’s unique background and experiences, coupled with a vast network, have allowed her to provide real-world examples and experiences for class as well as connections with many industry professionals.

She is passionate about providing networking and connecting opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, equipping students with both knowledge and relationships that support their success in marketing and entrepreneurial careers.
Projects
Pre-operation stage for a mobile coffee business: The goal for this business is to eventually be able to provide charitable donations from profit to multiple organizations and also bring in at least one intern a year from the Marian University School of Business. Projected Opening is June 2027.

Personal Info
Sims has two children and a husband, Brandon. Outside of work, she is highly involved with her church, People's Church Indianapolis, where she volunteers her time to play keys for the worship team, usually once or twice a month. Still a professional musician by trade, she works to stay active with that skill and plays clarinet, flute, saxophone, and piano.
Sims also continues to grow her real estate business and is working on a mobile coffee business. In the little extra time she has, Sims loves reading and constantly learning about new things.
