Amy Nicholas

Amy is an Indiana native who graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Indiana.

Prior to joining Marian University, Amy worked in domestic newborn infant adoption providing outreach/education to professionals, training prospective adoptive families, providing options/grief counseling to expectant/birth parents, and facilitating adoptions. She also has experience working in foster care recruiting and training prospective foster families.

Amy’s passion for outreach/education and working with young adults and their families drew her to academia. When she visited Marian University with her son for a campus tour, Amy fell in love with the campus and mission. The admissions office staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable and Amy knew that she could fit right in with the team. Her ability to establish rapport and build relationships is a great asset in the role of Freshman Admissions Counselor. Parenting three young adults is also a great personal experience that benefits her role with Marian University.

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with family/friends, lifting weights and playing pickleball, and binging Netflix shows.
