Memberships

Marian University belongs to the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI), comprised of 23 academic libraries throughout the state. The system provides sophisticated resource-sharing and library automation services to the libraries of its member institutions who have joined PALNI, in part, because we believe in the power of collaboration as a mechanism for improving library services.

The library is a member of the Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI) organization, representing all academic libraries in accredited non-profit institutions of higher education in Indiana. Included among the 72 ALI members are major research libraries, law and medical libraries, theological school libraries, and many undergraduates libraries.

The library also belongs to the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS), a non-profit, member-driven organization whose mission is to facilitate sharing resources and to collaborate with other organizations to benefit Michigan and Indiana libraries.

In addition, the university maintains these memberships: Medical Library Association, Midwest Chapter of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Indiana Health Sciences Library Association,Central Indiana Health Library Consortium, LOEX, and the Catholic Library Association.
