Crossroads Academic Medical Institute is a groundbreaking collaborative initiative anchored by Marian University’s Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCOM) and allied health programs, in partnership with Purdue University and leading healthcare systems across Indiana.

Crossroads Academic Medical Institute weaves together the complementary strengths of universities and health systems into one coordinated, distributed academic medical institute. This innovative model directly addresses Indiana’s critical healthcare workforce shortages by creating a self-reinforcing pipeline that recruits, trains, and retains physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals where they are needed most—especially in rural and underserved communities.
