Faculty members and instructors have access to a variety of technologies and resources designed to enhance teaching and learning.

CTL resources

Here are a few of the resources and services supported through Marian University's Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL):

  • CanvasWhether teaching face-to-face, online, or in a blended classroom, leveraging Canvas is key to managing your course and communicating with students. Review the list of resources and templates available to assist in your use of Canvas.
  • Qualtrics: Create surveys that range from simple to extremely complex and report your results.
  • Large format printing: If you need a poster for your research presentation or art project, the CTL can print up to 42" wide.
  • Media conversion: Tools are available to help transfer media from one format to another.
  • Camtasia: This software allows you to create video tutorials and presentations via screen casts or PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Office: If you have questions about how to complete tasks or use Office, the CTL can help
  • Poll Everywhere: Allows you to poll your audience whether face-to-face or online
  • Panopto: Is a lecture capture or video capture program which integrates with Cavnas
  • Turn It InProvides instructors and students a way to improve writing, check for plagiarism, and efficiently grade a variety of assignment formats through easy integration with Canvas
  • Respondus Lock Down BrowserAllows for a secure browser and may record the student as they complete their exams. The link above provides information for students on how to install the browser and take an exam. Licenses are limited, so please let the CTL know if you are planning to use this in your course.
