Using Data

At the annual Data Use Round Table, invited faculty, staff, administrators, and students take a comprehensive look at findings from direct assessments and available institutional surveys and identify important action plans for the upcoming academic year. Small groups are initially organized by instrument/topic (i.e., NSSE Topical Module, HEDS Sexual Assault Campus Climate Surveys). Following a discussion about findings, attendees move into new groups to discuss action plans. These groups have representatives from each of the previous groups to ensure action plans are not made in isolation. Finally, attendees engage in a large group discussion about action plans, including the timelines for implementation and the responsible parties.
