Graduate Student Housing

The Overlook at Riverdale Apartments ("The Overlook") is the on-campus housing option for Marian University medical and graduate students*. The Overlook is an on-campus apartment building that saves residents time and money while living in campus accommodations. Most importantly, residents of The Overlook live among classmates and interact in an academic environment, while enjoying the privacy and autonomy of a private apartment. Apartments are student housing.  The Overlook is for current, active Marian graduate students only; we do not rent to former students or anyone unaffiliated with Marian University.

The three-wing apartment community is four-stories, has shared parking adjacent to the building, and enjoys scenic views of the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab and entire Marian University campus.

*If you are a student who already has a bachelor's degree and are interested in living in the Overlook, please reach out to us at housing@marian.edu.  For example, students in the ABSN who have already earned a bachelor's degree may be interested in living in the Overlook.

The Overlook offers studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom options. Premium apartments provide additional square footage for an increased price. All apartments are unfurnished. Housing charges are added to your student bill per semester for about 6 months rent. The Overlook does not close for Thanksgiving, Winter, or Spring Break.  The Overlook is open in the summer for students who will continue living on campus for the next academic year.

The waitlist for the 24-25 academic year for Overlook leases is closed. To be added to the waitlist for the 25-26 academic year, please fill out the form here. We gather information from current tenants to determine anticipated openings for the next academic year before offering spaces to prospective future tenants. Beginning in the spring semester, we will reach out to people on the waitlist to offer spaces that will be available to rent. Housing contracts begin July 1 and run until June 15. Canceling a contract mid-academic year may result in a housing contract cancellation fee.

Your $300 housing deposit can be paid here.  Deposits should be paid after accepting an apartment and before picking up keys.
