New Student Orientation

Congratulations on your decision to attend Marian University! The next four years will be among the most exciting and memorable of your life.

Your next step is to attend one of our New Student Orientation programs. During Orientation, you will learn everything you'll need to know for your transition to Marian and how to thrive here as a student. You'll also register for your first semester of classes and get to know other new students, current students, and faculty.

Students starting classes in August are now able to register for one of our summer programs. New Student Orientation programs this summer will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, May 12, 2022 (one-day Orientation) - Registration closed
  • Thursday-Friday, June 2-3, 2022 (two-day overnight Orientation) - Registration closed
  • Thursday-Friday, June 23-24, 2022 (two-day overnight Orientation) - Registration closed
  • Thursday-Friday, July 14-15, 2022 (two-day overnight Orientation) - Registration closed
  • Thursday, July 28, 2022 (one-day Orientation) - Registration closed
  • Friday, July 29, 2022 (Transfer one-day Orientation)  - Registration closed
  • Thursday, August 18, 2022 (one-day Orientation)

*An orientation fee is applied to the first semester bill for all incoming students, which covers meals, housing, and programming during orientation programs and Welcome Week. A discounted rate of $95 will apply to all students who register prior to July 1.

During New Student Orientation, you will:

  • Connect with your future classmates, current students, faculty, and staff.
  • Hear from faculty about what to expect in your classes.
  • Find out about student services and resources that will help you succeed.
  • Meet with your academic advisor and register for classes.
  • Have of your questions answered.
  • Ensure you're fully prepared to start your journey at Marian University.
