The program begins by introducing the foundations of Adaptive Leadership and helping you see your school as a complex system. You will examine how culture, relationships, and competing priorities shape daily decisions and begin developing a new lens for understanding leadership challenges within your building.
Effective school leadership depends on your ability to work through others. In this phase, you shift your focus from individual contribution to leading adults—teachers, staff, and teams within your building. You will apply your learning directly to your school context, strengthening your ability to influence, support, and mobilize others to improve outcomes.
Leadership extends beyond the walls of the building. In this phase, you will learn how to engage families and communities as active partners in student success. You will explore how strong relationships with families and external stakeholders strengthen school culture, trust, and long-term outcomes.
Strong leaders must also ensure schools run effectively. In this final phase, you will build the technical and operational skills required to manage a school with confidence. You will learn how to navigate legal requirements, manage resources, and use data to inform decisions and improve performance.
