Pre-Chiropractic

Chiropractors are clinicians that focus on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders through adjustment and manipulation of the spine. As a licensed chiropractor, you will help reduce patient pain and improve their mobility while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

To become a chiropractor, you will need to earn a 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree and a state license. As of 2022, there are 17 programs accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education in the United States.

Pre-Requisite Courses

The admission criteria for chiropractic degree programs are varied. Students should work with their advisor to ensure all pre-requisite courses are completed in a timely fashion depending on the programs to which you plan to apply.

From the recommendations from the Association of Chiropractic Colleges: 24 hours in life and physical sciences, half with lab. This could be met with a combination of the courses listed below.
