Wendy Faust joined the Marian University family in the spring of 2018 as the executive director of development, where she works directly with all departments within the advancement team. Wendy earned her bachelor of arts in communication studies from Sonoma State University in 1997. She spent several years in nonprofit and corporate communications before discovering her passion for education where she spent 13 years working with private, K-12 schools in southern California in administration, fundraising, leadership development, and marketing. Prior to coming to Marian, she led her sorority’s international headquarters staff based in Indianapolis. Wendy’s family includes her husband Wesley, an educator and coach at Creekside Middle School in Carmel, and together they have two daughters, Whitney and Wynter. The Fausts enjoy being outdoors—especially if it involves the beach, a pool, or a lake—and have enjoyed becoming Hoosiers since relocating to the Indianapolis area from California in 2015. Wendy loves to travel, is a big fan of Orangetheory Fitness, and has a goal to visit all 50 states by the time she’s 50. As a volunteer, Wendy is involved with several organizations working to cure cancer. She serves on the board of CASE Indiana, an organization dedicated to fund development in independent K-12 schools and throughout higher education. She earned a credential as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in September 2020. The Fausts attend and serve in the kids’ ministry at Traders Point Christian Church—North Campus in Carmel.
