All student recruiting is done through
Handshake, our job board. To set up your account, you may register as an employer at Marian University On Campus Employment, and begin posting jobs. More information can be found on the
on-campus employment page.
After you have posted a position on Handshake and interviewed candidates, you must indicate to The Exchange that you have hired the student employees so we can prompt the cleared-to-work process. Engage the following steps:
- Mark the student(s) "hired" in Handshake. A daily communication will be sent to Human Resources notifying them of the students hired. Note that students must apply for a position on Handshake to be considered for campus employment.
- Instruct your new hires to wait for an email communication from The Exchange on their next steps. This communication will tell the student HOW to go to HR to start the documentation process. Human Resources will review the needs for each individual student. Once cleared by HR, student(s) will receive email notification.
- Do not allow your student employees to begin work until they present a CLEARED to WORK email from HR as evidence of their completed hiring process. Students will receive instructions from human resources regarding online hour tracking through MUHub.
