Biography
Katherine enjoys serving in various roles in nursing and pediatrics and has done so for over the past 16 years. These positions include student nurse, bedside RN, charge RN, preceptor, shift coordinator, and professional development specialist all at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, working with most areas outside of the ICU during her time at Riley.
She possesses a BSN and MSN both from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN. She enjoys teaching and has taught over the past seven years at various schools of nursing in Indianapolis, making Marian University her full time home in the Fall of 2018.
She a life long learner, maintaining a certification as a certified pediatric nurse (CPN). She is a member of The Society of Pediatric Nurses, the NLN, serves as secretary for the Omega Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society, and as the recorder for the Leighton School of Nursing Faculty Council as well as serving on other MU task forces.
