Pediatrics Nurse

Christina Kiger graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana in 2000 and began her career as a nurse working in Evansville Indiana with adult medical surgical patients. She then moved to Indianapolis and started her career as a pediatric nurse working at Riley Hospital for Children. She is recognized by the PNCB as a Certified Pediatric Nurse. Christina spent time in the outpatient setting working for an allergy and asthma specialist. In 2009 she graduated from IU School of Nursing with a Master's in Nursing Education. She began her career full time as assistant professor of nursing at Marian University in 2010. Her expertise is in Pediatrics but she also has a passion for mission work and vulnerable populations and teaches local and global health care courses. Christina philosophy of education is to use innovative approaches in the classroom to facilitate student's acquisition of knowledge through experiential learning. She plans to pursue her PhD in nursing education.

Personal Interests

Christina's special interests include spending time with her husband and three daughters and doing Crossfit. She is also very involved at Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana as a life group leader and volunteer for IPS School 54 tutoring program.
