About the E.S. Witchger School of Engineering
The E.S. Witchger School of Engineering at Marian University represents a bold step in providing innovative engineering education. Unlike the previous dual degree program with IUPUI, which required five or more years to complete two majors, the Witchger School of Engineering offers a streamlined path. Students can earn engineering degrees in four years in one of six disciplines: biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, mechanical engineering, or engineering physics.
Marian University is ranked by U.S. News in the top 30 regional Midwest universities and among the top 5 for Best Value and Most Innovative, making it an exceptional place to study. The Witchger School of Engineering stands out for several reasons:
- A hands-on, design-focused curriculum empowers students to solve real-world engineering challenges and develop practical solutions for societal and industry needs.
- A dynamic liberal arts foundation enhances engineering programs, fostering leadership, critical thinking, communication skills, and a global perspective.
- Small class sizes, with a student-to-faculty ratio of approximately 10:1, create interactive and collaborative learning environments. Courses are taught by full-time faculty who are experts in their fields.
- Our state-of-the-art engineering facility features advanced classrooms, laboratories, equipment, and study spaces for students, staff, and faculty.
