dcsimg Accreditation

Regulated by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), each college of osteopathic medicine must go through a strict accreditation process that is both rigorous and lengthy.

The Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine received provisional accreditation on July 1, 2012, approving MU-COM to admit students and proceed to offer instruction beginning in the 2013-14 academic year with an approved class size of 150

There are more steps to receive full accreditation. If all COCA standards are met appropriately, MU-COM will receive full accreditation in May of 2017, allowing all our osteopathic medical student to graduate from a fully accredited medical school.
