"It's funny, since I live so close, I know of Marian University, but I had no idea I would consider coming here." That's what new incoming first year student Qujuan "QJ" Cannon '26 said. Cannon, a track athlete who graduated from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis this past May, says Marian University athletics reached out to him to become a student athlete.
QJ says since he really enjoys track, and financially details worked out, it was a no-brainer that he made Marian his first and best education choice. "I’m looking forward to attending, being a Klipsch Educators College student pursuing a physical education degree," Cannon said. "I really want to teach and coach younger people and make a difference in their lives," he continued. Cannon added he wants to change the demographics and eventually become an athletic director one day.
