Two Marian University Psychologists Address When Upsetting Current Events Shake Kids’ Worlds in National Geographic Magazine Story

It's a tragedy no parent wants to talk to their children about. And yet, after the news that an 18-year-old man murdered at least 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, many parents are wondering how—and even if—they should bring up the topic with their kids.

Two Marian University Psychologists, David Rusbasan, Ph.D., assistant dean of the School of Behavior and Applied Social Sciences, and Assistant Professor of Psychology Noelany Pelc spoke to National Geographic magazine in this interview.  Both were asked about troubling current events that can be upsetting and confusing to children.
