Marian University (www.marian.edu) announced today that Ray Stanley has been hired to serve as the university’s new Chief Information Officer. In this role, Stanley will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission of Marian University. He will be responsible for the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of university operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and mission development.
Stanley most recently served as Deputy Chief Information and Technology Officer with Indiana Pension Retirement System (INPRS). He has been at INPRS (formally PERF) since 2008. Stanley previously held IT leadership positions with Cummins, Conseco, and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
Stanley attended Ball State University, where he earned a M.S. in Information Communication Science and a B.S. in Management Information Systems. He is a native of Anderson, Ind.

Located on the west side of Indianapolis, Marian University is central Indiana’s only Catholic university, serving a student population of nearly 3,000. Since 2013, it has constructed a new medical school, a new student center, and on-campus apartments for graduate students. Later this year, the university plans to break ground on a new building to house its business school.
