Kem Hawkins to Speak at Marian College

Kem Hawkins, the president of Cook Group Incorporated, will speak at Marian College on Wednesday, April 29, 2009.
Kem Hawkins, the president of Cook Group Incorporated, will speak at Marian College on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at 7 p.m. in room two of the Music Building. Cook Group Incorporated is a leader in developing healthcare devices, specifically minimally invasive medical device technology for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Hawkins has been president of the corporation since 2001; he was previously executive vice president for global sales and marketing. Hawkins has a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s degree in education from Indiana University; before joining the business world, he was a teacher for 10 years in Bloomington, Indiana. Hawkins’ visit will provide Marian College students with the valuable opportunity to meet and learn from a successful business leader. This event is open to the public at no charge; seating is limited. The presentation is part of the Marian College Distinguished Lecturer in Music speaker series, designed to create awareness of the opportunities for success for college graduates of all majors.
