Rebuild My Church Hosts ‘Mission, Ministry, and Money’

by Katie Bradley | Oct 16, 2013

Marian University’s Rebuild My Church (RMC) Program is hosting an event, “Mission, Ministry, and Money,” on Tuesday, October 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Allison Mansion on the campus of Marian University.

The event is part of RMC’s outreach efforts and is designed to help Catholic organizations align their mission, ministry, and fundraising. Integrating all three components are necessary to generate enthusiasm and support in the 21st Century.

Topics covered at this seminar include:

  • "Shaping a Theology of Money" presented by Daniel Conway, senior vice president of planning, marketing, and advancement.
  • "Fundraising for Mission" presented by President Daniel J. Elsener.
  • "Planned Giving” presented by Barb Balka, director of planned giving and foundation relations, Saint Meinrad Archabbey and Seminary and School of Theology

What would a "theology of money" tell us about who God is and how God acts? How does the Bible both reinforce and critique meanings of money? Philanthropy begins with God’s love for us. How can Church leaders help inform and form parishioners on the needs and opportunities for making a difference as it relates to what befits their unique relationship with God (vocation).

To register for this event, email Ken Scheer at by Wednesday, October 16. The cost for the event is $30 per person (includes lunch).
