While in the Mentor Services Program or after Marian University offers the school leader and the school at which they work, the opportunity to establish a C.A.U.S.E. Council to provide continued support.
The creation of a C.A.U.S.E. Council correlates with the Community Schools Movement, which is a strategy for uniting and organizing community assets and resources around student success. Marian University also places an emphasis on ensuring that schools provide a modern education that is focused on 21st century skill sets and capacities Marian University works in conjunction with the Midwest Center for University-Assisted Community Schools to provide this service for its school leaders.
The purpose of the council is multidimensional:
To support the successful leadership of Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership school leaders.
To advocate for schools and neighborhoods through collaborative action.
To assist schools and neighborhoods in quality improvement and engagement.
