Applied Behavior Analysis Graduate Certificate

Our Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is offered fully online. The course sequence consists of seven courses rooted in the fifth edition task list and is an approved Verified Course Sequence (VCS) by Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).

Our ABA instructors are BCBAs (board-certified behavior analysts) with experience in the field. This real-world experience allows your instructors to provide you with real-world connections to behavior analytic concepts being learned in coursework. In addition, Marian ABA instructors offer multiple WebEx sessions during each semester and are always available for additional support. Coursework is rigorous and will prepare you for a career in the field of ABA.

What will I study?

VCSThe Association for Behavior Analysis International has verified the following courses toward the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® or Board Certificated Assistant Behavior Analyst® examination. Applications will need to meet additional requirements before they can be deemed eligible to take the examination.

Each of the courses are three credit hours:

  • SPD 650: Behavior Analytic Concepts and Principles
  • SPD 652: Advanced Behavior Analytic Concepts and Principles
  • SPD 654: Behavior Assessment and Change
  • SPD 656: Ethical Practice of Behavior Analysts
  • SPD 658: Verbal Behavior Foundations and Application
  • SPD 660: Experimental Design and Data Analysis
  • SPD 662: Personnel Development and Management
