My masters thesis focused on gender role differences in children of divorced and remarried families. My doctoral thesis looked at developmental criteria that influence youth firesetting in children and adolescents. Much of my professional research has examined service-learning and experiential education in P-12 classrooms. I also enjoy participating with undergraduate and graduate students in working on scholastic projects of their own!

Much of the university service I perform occurs with travel abroad experiences. Since coming to Marian University, I have co-led travel to Italy, France, Spain, and Ireland. I love seeing students experience communities and cultures different than their own. It’s such a power opportunity to grow and learn about self!
