Knights Vote

Indiana Residents

  • Register to Vote on or before October 7th for the General Election
  • The Indiana Voter Portal allows you to register, request an absentee ballot, and find your voting location.
  • Request an Absentee Ballot by Thursday, October 24th (12 days before the election)
    • Keep your registration address ‘as is’ unless you need to update it (likely this is your home address). Enter your Marian address to have your ballot mailed to you on campus: 3200 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222
    • College students can select the 'first reason' as the justification for their ballot: "You have a specific, reasonable expectation that you will be absent from the county on Election Day during the entire 12 hours that the polls are open (6 am until 6 pm)”
    • Watch for your ballot to arrive. You will receive an envelope with a postmark to send your ballot back
    • What can I do if I forget to send my absentee ballot? You can still take your absentee ballot with you to vote early or even on election day.
  • Early Voting:
    • Begins October 8th (28 days before the election) and ends November 4th
    • You can find out your voting locations from the Indiana Voter Portal
    • What if I requested an absentee ballot, but I want to vote early instead? That’s okay! Just make sure to keep your absentee ballot, take it with you to your voting location, and present your absentee ballot
