Chris Dixon, Senior Instructor in Theology, has been teaching in the Theology Department at Marian University since 2012. He also teaches for Marian’s Adult Programs and is the Faculty Lead for Theology for MAP. He was raised in upstate New York, graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and studied History at Johns Hopkins University. He received an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. He was a pastor in the United Methodist Church for nine years before working in adult education for Catholic parishes in New Jersey and Indiana. He served as an Adult Faith Formation Consultant for the Diocese of Trenton and as a member of the Religion Curriculum Committee of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. He has been an instructor for the Permanent Diaconate Formation Program of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana since 2009. He is married with five adult children and three grandchildren.
