A native of eastern Indiana, Rachel began her teaching career in the high school and collegiate marching arts, serving as a percussion instructor for ten years. While studying the history of western music, Rachel expanded her teaching expertise as a graduate assistant under Professor Emeritus Dr. James Briscoe at the Jordan College of Arts at Butler University.
