Pre-professional programs

What is a pre-professional program?

These programs are intended to successfully guide you through completing highly specific types of courses. The knowledge you'll acquire by completing pre-professional courses helps you prepare for successful admission to a top professional (graduate) school.

Marian University's pre-professional programs are focused on the health sciences, although if you are interested in law, business, and other fields, we can also develop a custom curriculum that will prepare you for graduate study in those areas.

What is available at Marian?

If your ultimate career goal is to work in one of these healthcare roles, you'll need to continue your education after earning your bachelor's degree. Learn more about Marian University's pre-professional programs:

Why choose a pre-professional program at Marian?

Admission to medical schools, dental schools, veterinary schools, physical therapy programs, and others is often highly competitive. Being accepted for admission requires, among other things, that you complete prerequisite coursework and standardized exams that evaluate and measure your knowledge.

  • Faculty in our College of Arts and Sciences are dedicated to preparing you for personal and professional success in your chosen field. You'll get individual academic advising, customized plans of study, one-on-one mentoring, and personal attention at Marian University that can be hard to find at larger universities.

  • On Marian's close-knit campus you'll have an undergraduate experience that helps you achieve more than you ever thought possible. We'll challenge you academically with rigorous coursework, but we'll guide and support you every step of the way. We'll encourage you to get involved on campus by joining one of dozens of student organizations and championship athletic teams. You'll grow socially, have opportunities to serve others, and blossom into the best person that you can be.

When you begin your professional studies, you'll be prepared to serve as a transformational leader in your chosen field.
