Michelle Meer, MSW is an assistant professor of social work and the Director of the Social Work program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Michelle received her MSW from Indiana University School of Social Work and her BA in Psychology with a concentration in Business from Marian (College) University.
Michelle is past director of field education and past BSW director at the University of Indianapolis for eight years. Michelle was a MSW Field Specialist with Indiana University School of Social Work for four years. She has professional experience working with older adults in long-term care facilities. She was Executive Director of two adoption agencies, one which housed a residential program for teen mothers. She also is the recipient of the Phylis Lan Lin Program in Social Work Field Instructor of the Year in 2008 from the University of Indianapolis and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011 from Marian University.
Michelle is a huge sports fan and enjoys attending various sporting events. Michelle also enjoys spending time with extended family, reading, gardening, capturing sunsets and coffee. She and her husband enjoy dining out at various restaurants in the Indianapolis area. Both are involved with various professional, community and church organizations.
